IMPORTANT: FIRE CODE REGULATIONS: This is a reminder that King County Fire Code regulations must be followed during your event at King County Aquatic Center. In particular: IFC Section 308.1.4 prohibits the use of open-flame cooking devices, and King County Title 17 enforces this regulation.

Prohibited items include, but are not  limited to:

  • Propane grills
  • Charcoal grills
  • Portable fire pits
  • Sterno or canned heat
  • Flattop grills
  • Flagstone-style cooktops
  • Any open-flame or flame-generating equipment

Parking:

Parking Lot Attendants and signage will guide you to an appropriate parking spot. We encourage carpooling as KCAC has limited parking.

New this year – To help our meet run smoothly, we’d appreciate it if the first parking lot (at the traffic light, in front of the building) could be left available for Coaches, Officials, Hospitality, and other senior meet staff until 8:00 AM.

If you're arriving before 8:00 AM, please use the second entrance just past the building or one of the additional lots listed in the attached parking information. Thank you for helping us create a smooth start to the day—we truly appreciate your support!

Spectators:

KCAC provides bleacher seating for 2500 spectators. Folding chairs allowed behind the railing in marked platform areas only, not in the bleacher sections. Please observe the signage in the spectator areas.

The pool deck will be limited to Swimmers, Coaches and Officials. All others will be turned away.

Concessions:

Concessions provided by King County Aquatic Center contractor. Neither Midlakes nor the host clubs receive any benefit from concession sales.

Heat Sheets:

Heat sheets will be provided for officials and stagers. Coaches must print and bring their own heat sheets.

T-Shirts:

Midlakes Championship T-shirts and Sweatshirts will be available for purchase on site the day of the meet, but you may also purchase in advance here Champs Merch.

Awards:

Using the Volunteer Spreadsheet, please designate someone prior to the meet to pick up the awards for your entire team at the end of the meet. Swimmers will not be able to come into the awards room to pick up their awards that day.

Other rules:

KCAC does not allow paper signs to be posted by spectators. Please bring your team banner to hang.

No flash photography is allowed at starts. Please tell your team and parents in advance.

It is “best practice” to have your senior swimmers bring younger teammates to the Clerk of Course for events. No parents will be allowed on deck. Designate older swimmers in advance of the meet.

Cell phones are not to be out in the restrooms/changing rooms for any purpose. You can make your call or text after leaving the changing and showering area.

Please clean up your team’s area prior to departing.
