Good morning team, Thank you all for your feedback, I read each message even if I wasn't responding and brought our collective thoughts and comments to the planning committee yesterday. It seems like they were able to secure a date that wasn't on memorial day weekend which is great for many! The unfortunate thing is we are not able to have KCAC be the site of the championships this year, though it is secured for Jan 24th 2026. There are still a couple of voices pushing for a sooner date,...

Hi all, I figured I should make this post to go over exactly what I heard in the planning meeting for Y State and talk about my thoughts. I apologize for just posting the new date and not much more information, I should have waited for a longer post like this. Y State, for as long as I remember, has been a huge part of every season, and KCAC is full of swimming memories (good and not). It is a unique opportunity for our Y teams to get a real...

Hi all, Just finished listening in on the meeting for the planning committee and they are going ahead and reserving KCAC for Y State on May 24th. There will not be a meet this weekend. I will issue refunds for the event, and will reopen the event file shortly for registration now knowing the new date. Very disappointing that we could not get anything for this weekend, but from what I heard from other coaches the air in KCAC was terrible and definitely a health concern. Rather we be safe...

Copying directly from an email I received just one minute ago: Attention PSSA teams: The Y State Planning Committee just received notice that the King County Aquatics Center (KCAC) will be closed for emergency repairs from January 20 – January 26, 2025. The link to this announcement is here. This means we are not able to hold the Y State Championships on January 25th at KCAC. Since the announcement went public at 4:30 p.m., Friday, 1-17-25, at the start of a 3-day holiday weekend we have had very little time...

Good afternoon Tritons, Update: rechecked the list I copied from our system and added a swimmer that was missed. I keep the YREG qualifier page updated by hand, so look for that to be updated with the next few meets! Quick update - the Boise Y team released the meet announcement for Y Regionals yesterday! I have updated the event page (linked here) with all the additional information. Please review the meet announcement for the full information, and feel free to ask me any questions! Also, I went through all...

Good afternoon Tritons, I hope you are all having a good weekend! We had a couple of fantastic meets yesterday and today, and some important dates to remember that I wanted to share. First off, congratulations to all of our competing swimmers this weekend - across the 2 meets, we saw 31 more personal best swims. At the Friday Harbor meet, each of our 8 swimmers had earned at least one personal best, even though the starts were all in-water. With our distance meet, we saw several swimmers try their...

Good morning Tritons, First off, thank you again to the volunteers who helped run the meet yesterday! Nothing but positive feedback from the other teams on how well everything ran. We had about 160 swimmers attend (171 registered) which is almost 40 more than our largest meet! We had 80 personal best times across 37 swimmers, and several new qualifying times. The biggest drop in time goes to Victoria Jomantara, improving 51 seconds in the 100 Back! And congratulations to our new Y Regional qualifying swims: Shelby Bahe 200 Free...

Good afternoon Tritons, I hope you are all having a good start to your November! Let me begin by saying thank you again for everyone who joined us for the Trunk or Treat last week! Events like these aren't possible without family engagement and participation, so I am happy that we continue to keep these fun little traditions alive for the swimmers. We have a few quick updates for the month: November no-practice days There will not be practice on November 11th, Veterens day - thank you to those who...
