Good morning Tritons, Looks like another sunny start to our week as we delve deeper into the Spring! There are some things coming up and I figured a quick update on upcoming events/registration would be helpful: The registration deadline for the 2025 Spring Fling is May 16th We are co-hosting with SNOCO - please consider attending and helping us put on a good meet for the swimmers! Our Washington State Y teams don't normally have meets where north and south end teams can meet outside of Y State, and we...

Good afternoon Tritons, I am happy to announce that our record boards are officially updated and are awaiting installation! Big thank you to Lacey Papendorf for getting those updates to me on Monday - the record boards are now out on the bleachers for the swimmers to see. I am reaching out to our facility director to see where and how we can install them; they are decently heavy so I imagine we will need a manlift and other tools. That being said... our fundraiser deadline is coming up on...

Good morning team, I hope you are all having a good start to the month! We have some upcoming dates and events to keep a look out for, and a potential volunteer opportunity for our high school age swimmers. First off, I wanted to introduce Kiril Leckrone who is joining us as a volunteer coach! Most of our swimmers have seen him on deck Monday/Wednesday this week, but for those who haven't met him yet, Coach Kiril is joining us from the Bay area where he was a swimmer and...

Hi team! Our March monthly challenge will be creating a quick dryland routine. We have an example/progression sheet that should cover all of the basics [linked here] Each routine needs to cover the bolded exercise groups, picking at least one activity to do 3 sets of 10-20 reps in a day, or a mix of different levels that total the same amount. For example, I may choose to do 3x10 knee pushups, or I could do 1x10 incline pushups, 1x10 knee pushups, and 1x10 full pushups. Choose something that will...

Good afternoon Tritons, I have some goals/plans for the team coming up that could use help or ideas! I will start this post with what I am hoping we can accomplish and what help we will need to get things in motion. Near the end of this post I will give some context into where we are currently and what has been done. If you are able to help with either, please let me know by sending me an email! Help Wanted: Record board Updates Help needed with creating stickers...

Hi all! Just wanted to let you all know that we are back on a normal practice schedule for the rest of this month! I am receiving more information about what is being hosted in the Spring/Summer and will be updating our meet schedule accordingly. Reminder that we will have spring break lining up with the local school districts during April 7-11. (The next scheduled break after that will be May 26th Memorial Day).

Happy Sunday Tritons! We have just finished up at Y Regionals in Boise, Idaho, and wanted to share some great news and updates on our upcoming practice schedule. At Y Regionals, we had 20 swimmers competing against 12 other teams from Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Washington. We were in division 2, which consists of teams with 14-33 swimmers. This division had 8 teams competing in it, the most teams by far. Out of all of the division 2 teams, ours placed third and we placed 4th overall! We also had...

Hi all! There are a few volunteer/job opportunities popping up and I wanted to send this now before I forget. The first one is our Special Olympics swim team program is starting back up next week. This is on Thursdays from 7:00pm-8:00pm, and I will be coaching them again! This is my third season with the Special Olympics team, and they have always been great to work with. They do need volunteers that will help and be in the water. This is open to any high school age swimmer or...

Good evening Tritons, Just a couple of things this update, and I will section things off and try to make it easier to read: Y State Recap First off - we had an incredible showing at Y State, and I was happy to see so many great swims! We had some last minute extra Y Regionals qualifications, and many personal bests and top placements for our swimmers. I had another coach showing me the scores on meet mobile, and if they did do team points, it looks like we would...
