Palm Desert High School freshman Indira Ceranic,age 14,competed on the team that tied for first place for in the Pacific All Star Team swim meet,Jan.9-0 in Belmont Shores.Her team consisted of the fastest eight boys and girls.ages 13-14,and eight boys and girls,ages 11-12 in Southern California Swimming.Ceranic trains with the Piranha Swim Team in Palm Springs. The Piranha Swim Team sent 12 swimmers to the Winter Age Group Champipnships in Las Vegas,Dec.11-13 and brought home eight gold, seven silver, and five bronze medals.The Piranhas placed 14th overall,with a sixth place finish for women,and 24th for men,out of 50 teams from Southern California and Nevada.
