Twenty-two Piranha swimmers ages 8 to 17 are swimming in the Junior Olympic Summer Championship meet for age group swimmers in Southern California,Nevada and Arizona. Palm Desert High School’s sophopmore Indira Ceranic was named to the North America Challenge Cup Team for an international age group competition.The NACC will be held August 5-7,2010 at the Santa Clara International Swim Centet in Santa Calara,CA. Swimming with Olympic Swimming stars Michael Pheips and Rebecca Soni were local stars Lynette Lim,age 17,P.J.Redmon, 15,from Palm Springs High School and Plm Desert High School freshman Indira Ceranic ,14.They competed in the 2010 Southern California Swimming Grand Prix,Jan.15-19 in Belmont Shores.Jappan’s Kosuki Kitajima competed along with American world record holders Jessica Hardy and Adriana Kurkors,and Olympian Katie Hoff and open water champion Chloe Sutton.
