The Nashville Aquatic Club hosted the LC season opener at the Centennial Sportsplex this past weekend with the All American Nike Long Course Spring Classic. Nearly one hundred Nashville Aquatic Club athletes traveled to Knoxville, TN for the 2012 Southeastern Swimming Short Course Championships. The meet, hosted on the campus of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, brings together all of the fastest athletes from across Southeastern Swimming for a three and a half day championship. Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers competed in the SES District Championships last weekend at the Williamson County Indoor Sports Center in Brentwood, TN. The team walked away with seven new Southeastern swimming qualifiers and a total of 42 new SE qualifying times! The Tennessee State High School Swimming Championships, hosted by NAC, was held at the Centennial Sportsplex on February 10th and 11th. Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers represented their high school teams with pride and saw some incredible swims. Nashville Aquatic Club took 70 swimmers to Memphis last weekend to compete in the Gabrielle Rose Classic. Swimmers raced tough and came home with numerous titles and Southeastern qualifying times! Austin Morris walked away as the top 11-12 boy swimmer, winning the High Point award, after dominating the field in 4 individual events, and finishing in the top 10 in 4 others.
