2009 High School Region Meet Writeup January 30, 2009 NAC SWEEPS MENS EVENTS AT HIGH SCHOOL REGION MEET Fifty one Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers represented their respective schools in the High School Region meet last Friday and the results were staggering. The Nashville Aquatic Club was once again well represented collegiately as eight swimmers qualified to compete in the NCAA Championships. The women’s meet took place in College Station, TX this past weekend with California winning the meet with a new US Open record on the final relay. Cal just edged out Georgia and Arizona who finished second and third respectively. XCEL Mardi Gras Meet Writeup January 31 - February 1, 2009 BLACKWOOD BREAKS 200 BREAST RECORD AS NAC PREPARES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON The Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers were in fine form over the weekend with great swims at the Excel Mardi Gras Invitational at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood. 2009 NAC Summer Sizzler June 26-28, 2009 NAC Heats Up At Sizzler!!!! The Nashville Aquatic Club looked very impressive this past weekend distancing themselves from the competition at the Summer Sizzler held at the Centennial Sportsplex and Indoor Sports Complex. NAC finished over 500 points ahead of Lakeside Swim Club of Louisville and Swim Atlanta finished a distant third. 2010 Flood - Great Acts of Heroism During the weekend of May 1st, 2010, Nashville experienced an unprecedented rainfall event that as of this writing, left 27 counties designated federal disaster areas. During the weekend, more that 13 inches of rain fell on middle Tennessee, completely overwhelming the population and state agencies. As the waters are slowly subsiding, incredible acts of heroism are beginning to emerge involving members of our own local swim community.
