Curtis Lovelace Selected for 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Team NAC swimmer and current Stanford swimmer Curtis Lovelace was selected as a member of the 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Team. Dakota Hodgson Beats Olympian Gil Stovall in the 1st Annual Gil Stovall 50 Butterfly Shootout!!! With a smaller group of swimmers than normal NAC still had an outstanding performance as a team in the Gil Stovall BBQ Invitational. Dakota Hodgson led the way beating former Olympian Gil Stovall in the inaugural "Gil Stovall 50 Fly shootout". June 4-6 NAC attended the Excel Stars and Stripes Meet. Most Senior swimmers swam on Saturday while the Age Groupers swam Saturday & Sunday. The Special Olympics of Tennessee held its largest function of the year last weekend. The Summer Games were held starting Friday, May 15 through Saturday, May 16. Rich Sanderson attended the Opening Ceremonies on Friday night and was privileged to present a check to Special Olympics on behalf of NAC. This was a portion of the pledges the team was so successful in collecting for the 2008 NAC Games. Nashville Aquatic Club swimmer Parker Camp has been invited to attend the 2009 USA Swimming National Select Camp. The four day camp will be held at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Thirty men and thirty women from across the country were selected to be a part of this prestigious training event. Southeastern Swimming held its Spring Meeting this past weekend in Pensacola, Florida where NAC Head Age Group Coach, Bryan Welter, was given the Cory Horton Age Group Coach of the Year award. This award is voted on by the coaches of Southeastern Swimming each spring.
