NAC High School athletes competed at the 2011 Tennessee High School State Championships this past weekend. The meet, hosted by Pilot Aquatics at the University of Tennessee, spanned two days and saw some fantastic swimming by athletes across the state. NAC swimmer Hannah Runyon-Hass, a senior, took home the state title in the Women's 200 Individual Medley, clocking a time of 2:01.45 and picking up her first USA Swimming National cut. Current Stanford and NAC swimmer Curtis Lovelace was selected by USA Swimming as a member of the 2011 World University Games Team which will compete in China. Taking place every two years, the World University Games are an international multi-sport event organized for university athletes by the International Sports Federation (FISU). Swimmers on the 2011 World University Games Team roster were selected based upon their performance at the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships. NAC Rocks Meet Of Champions The Nashville Aquatic Club made a HUGE splash at the Meet of Champions. The meet was held at the ISC in Brentwood TN December 3-5, 2010 and hosted by Excel Aquatics. 11-12 Girls Break Southeastern Swimming record in the 200 Free relay from 1978! The Nashville Aquatic Club had a great weekend at the Music City Invite. In a closely contested meet NAC finished second to a strong Lakeside Seahawk Swim Team. Maclin Davis Selected for 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Youth Team NAC swimmer Maclin Davis was selected as a member of the 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Youth Team. Maclin was selected based on his performance in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2010 Long Course Senior Nationals in Irvine, CA. While in Irvine, Maclin turned in a time of 54.72, the 5th fastest time in the country for athletes 13-18.
