FRANKLIN COUNTY SWIM TEAM CURRENT CODE OF CONDUCT

All Franklin County School Swim programs operate under two basic principles:

Respect yourself, your teammates, your coaches, and your opponents.
Do not do anything that would embarrass yourself, your family or our team.


FRANKLIN COUNTY SCHOOL SWIM TEAM RULES

●    DO NOT get in the pool until a Coach tells you.
●    Be on time.
●    No gum or anything in mouth
●    No diving/jumping  unless approved by a Coach
●    When diving/jumping, only do so under Coach’s direction: “Take Your Mark- Go”
●    Before practice begins, get all necessary equipment per Coach’s instruction.
●    After practice is over, put all borrowed equipment back in the correct location.
●    Obey all posted Winchester Swimplex Rules.
●    No touching other swimmers.
●    Horseplay - wrestling, hitting, pushing, dunking, picking someone up, poking them, etc – is not allowed
●    Harassment, bullying, or actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose will not be tolerated.
●    No cursing, punching, shoving, bullying, name-calling, or teasing other swimmers AT ANY TIME- this includes in the pool, locker rooms, parking lot, etc.
●    No destroying or abusing Winchester Swimplex property or other swimmer(s) property
●    If your conduct is a problem at any time while on Winchester Swimplex property, consequences such as time out of the water or even suspension from the Winchester Swim Team or Academy program (depending on severity and repeat offenses)  will be given at coaches’ discretion.
●    Always be a good sport. Even if you lose, tell the swimmer(s) in the lane next to you “Good Race”
●    Follow proper circle swimming (swim down the right side of lane, line up on rope)
●    No talking or playing during practice when coaches are talking
●    Exit the pool when practice is over
●    Swimmers will change in the locker rooms ONLY
●    Tech Suits are only to be worn at any meet with a Prelim/Finals format, a Regional Meet, or a Championship Meet.
