According to the National Weather Service, Snowmagedon is upon us- which means we won't be having practice today: This Afternoon: Snow showers. High near 35. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Tonight: Snow. Low around 27. North northwest wind between 3 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. The coaches hope everyone goes outside and runs around (safely) to get some exercise while enjoying the snow.

    The Juanita Pool is closed this Saturday February 19th due to a special event. All groups will swim at Redmond. The groups will practice as follows: 8 & Unders 9-10am Bronze 8-9am Silver I and II 8-10am Gold 6-8am Senior 6-8am High Performance 6-8am   Silver I Practice on Sunday: This Sunday, February 20th we will have to shift practice over to Redmond due to a Master’s Swim Meet at Juanita that Sunday. We will practice at the same time; 4-6pm.

    Saturday February 12, Swim-A-Thon; We will NOT have normal practice that day Water time by group is as follows: 8 & Unders- 9:00-10:00am Bronze- 8:30-10:00am Silver I & II- 7:00-9:00am Gold- 7:00-8:30am High School- 8:30-10:00am   Be sure to be there 15 minutes early in order to get settled, enter into the raffle, get your counters set, and be ready to start on time.     We will not be holding our normal practices this weekend due to the February Challenge Meet in Anacortes. That includes both Saturday and Sunday practices for all non-senior groups.

    This weekend, Tyson is getting his wisdom teeth pulled and I will be in Arizona with some of the Gold swimmers for a swim meet. With that in mind there are a couple of changes for this weekend:   Thursday and Friday No change in schedule, although some of you may have a different coach on deck   Saturday The Gold group will swim at Redmond with the Senior group starting at 7:30am.   This is a tryout for non-members who would like to join the team. We will start at 10:00am at the Juanita Aquatic Center. Tryouts do not take long, and are a chance for the coaches to see if prospective swimmers are ready for swim team, and if so, which group would be the best fit for them.   Wave will not conduct any weekend practices the weekend of January 15-16 due to the January Challenge meet. We will resume normal practice schedule on Monday, January 17.

Because of the forecast snow this afternoon and evening, January 11, 2011, practice for all groups is cancelled.
