Western Zone Age Group Long Course Championships Recap Five Wave swimmers represented Wave on the PNS Western Zone Team earlier this month at the Western Zone Champs in Elk Grove, CA. This was the final meet of the 2025 Long Course Season. There are four Zones in USA Swimming, and the 12 most western states all compete in our Zone. MMSC NCSSL Championships Meet Recap Wave sent our two youngest groups to the final meet of the season…and they won the meet title for Wave with nothing more than 10&Unders and just two 11-year-olds! Our swimmers earned a tremendous amount of medals and ribbons for a phenomenal end to the 2024-25 season! Western Zones Senior Zones Meet Recap Wave sent 18 swimmers to the Western Zone Senior Championships in Fresno, California, competing against athletes from 102 teams across the western US. With prelims at two sites and combined finals each night, Wave swimmers qualified for finals daily and earned new Spring and Summer Sectionals cuts. PNS 12&U Long Course Age Group Champs Meet Recap Wave’s top younger swimmers competed at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way near the end of last month, narrowly missing 3rd place by only 0.5! Both Wave and SMAC had well over 1100 points each. Futures Championships Meet Recap This year’s Futures Championships took place in Sacramento, CA, from July 23-26. Wave had seven swimmers qualified for individual events at the meet, our biggest crew in a long time and we also had a couple relays qualified, the 400 Free and the 400 Medley relay. PNS 13&O Long Course Senior Champs Meet Recap Wave’s Senior swimmers had a fantastic Champs meet and some phenomenal swims to pull off the team’s highest finish in more than 10 years! Seattle Age Group Open Meet Recap Colman Pool at Lincoln Park in West Seattle seemed to turn purple with the sea of Wave caps churning through the 50-meter saltwater pool. Wave Seniors Swim Red Hot at the Seattle Open! Our older swimmers raced for the second consecutive weekend, this time at Colman Pool for the 104th Senior Seattle Open. Wave Wins Firecracker for 4th Year in a Row! Wave sent over 100 swimmers to Missoula, our highest number yet, and won both the Women’s and Men’s titles. Despite cold morning weather and a lightning storm on Friday, Wave swimmers triumphed to become Champions again.
