Ira Kaplan, an 8 year old with Wave Aquatics, competed in the National Junior Disability Championships in Tampa, Florida on July 27 & 28. While there, Ira set American Records for her age group and class in four events: 25 Freestyle, 25 Butterfly, 25 Backstroke and 50 Backstroke. Ira also swam personal bests in the 100 IM and the 50 Freestyle. Congratulations Ira! Wave is very proud of you!
WAVE Aquatics was formed in 1987 when Northshore, Redmond, and Totem Lake swim teams merged in order to provide more opportunity and a stronger foundation for swimmers in the Lake Washington and Northshore school district areas. 2018 Very Scary Open Meet Recap The SR Groups took 18 kids over the mountains for the Velocity Swimming Very Scary Open this past weekend.
