The Gators had a great weekend at the La Crosse Sectionals on March 15th & 16th. The Gators took 15 swimmers to sectionals and they were able to swim a total of 3 individual events per day for a total of 6 individual events. All the Gators should be very proud, they didn’t have one DQ (disqualification) at the sectional meet. The Gators again had multiple PRs and State Qualification times swam at the sectional meet. The Gators enjoyed a family fun night Friday February 28th, where each swimmer was able to swim 3 events in the intersquad swim meet with the option of two fun relays at the end. Ribbons were given to the top three places in each event. After swimming the Gators enjoyed dinner and playing around outside of the pool for once in the gym. The Green County Gators Swim Team attended a Dual Meet with YMCA Dane County (East and West United) on Saturday, February 15th at Lussier Family YMCA - East. The Gators had 28 swimmers attend and had multiple swimmers clock PRs and qualify for state events. The Green County YMCA Gators Swim Team attended the 8 & Under All Star Meet hosted by the J-Hawks Swim Team on Sunday, January 26th. The meet was held at the Whitewater Aquatic & Fitness Center. Ninety four swimmers from nine teams attending this fun meet especially for swimmers 8 years old or younger. The Green County Gators Swim Team attended the 8 team, 3 day 2025 J-Hawk Winter Thaw hosted by the J-Hawk Aquatic Club January 10th-12th. Multiple swimmers clocked PRs (personal records) for various events. The Gators Swim Team traveled to La Crosse to compete in a two day swim meet hosted by the La Crosse YMCA Wave. The meet was held at the R.W. Houser YMCA on Saturday January 4 and 5th. The 11 and older swimmers started the Saturday morning competition with prelims with the top 12 swimmers advancing to finals. The Gators Swim Team hosted their annual home intersquad meet, Food For Fins on Friday, December 13th. The team had 35 swimmers out of their 48 squad attend the meet. Instead of charging admission or meet fees, the team asked for food or pet donations. Donations were also opened to the Green County YMCA membership. The team raised 76 cans, 33 jars, 89 boxes and 31 other food items which totaled 197 lbs of food for the Green County Food Pantry. Other donated items included toys and winter clothing which...
Gators Made Waves at Dubuque YMCA Quad Meet - 12/7/2024 The Gators Swim Team attended a quad meet hosted by Dubuque Dolphins on Saturday, December 7th, 2024.
