On Saturday November 15th, the Green County Family YMCA Gators swim team attended a Pentathlon hosted by the Cambridge Blue Fins. Pentathlon swimmers competed in all four individual strokes as well as an individual medley for a total of 5 races. The Gators were represented by 14 swimmers taking 4th place out of 7 teams with a team score of 184 points. The Green County Gators swim team swam strong at the Fall Starter meet on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025. The meet was hosted by the J-Hawks and held at UW Whitewater’s Williams Center pool. All 17 Gator swimmers earned points at the meet with the girl’s team taking 3rd place with a score of 147 and the boy’s team taking 5th place with 59 points. The Gators Swim Team traveled to compete in the Jon Brenner Meet on Saturday, October 25th. The meet was hosted by the LaCrosse Wave and included swimmers from the YMCA of The Chippewa Valley. The Gators were represented by 7 swimmers with all swimmers swimming personal bests and earning points totalling 278 points - the girls team earning 241 of those points and the boys 37 points. The Green County YMCA Gators wrapped up their spring/summer swim season with a hot swim meet in Lake Geneva on July 29th, 2025. This conference meet included the J-Hawks Aquatic Club, New Berlin Swim Club, Southeastern Aquatics and the host team Lake Geneva YMCA Ducks Swim Team. This meet was held as a “Mixed, Open” meet meaning women and men compete in the same events and events are open to all ages. The Green County YMCA Gators Swim Team competed at the May Conference meet hosted by the Lake Geneva Ducks on Friday, May 16th. Five teams attended, Lake Geneva Ducks, J-Hawks, New Berlin Swim Club, and the Southeastern Aquatics Sea Dragons. The Gators swam a fantastic weekend at the 2025 YMCA State swim meet March 21st - 23rd in Brown Deer, WI at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center. The Gators took 14th place out of 19 teams overall, the boys team took 16th place with only 4 swimmers and the girls took 13th place with only taking 20 swimmers to the meet. The Gators had a great weekend at the La Crosse Sectionals on March 15th & 16th. The Gators took 15 swimmers to sectionals and they were able to swim a total of 3 individual events per day for a total of 6 individual events. All the Gators should be very proud, they didn’t have one DQ (disqualification) at the sectional meet. The Gators again had multiple PRs and State Qualification times swam at the sectional meet. The Gators enjoyed a family fun night Friday February 28th, where each swimmer was able to swim 3 events in the intersquad swim meet with the option of two fun relays at the end. Ribbons were given to the top three places in each event. After swimming the Gators enjoyed dinner and playing around outside of the pool for once in the gym. The Green County Gators Swim Team attended a Dual Meet with YMCA Dane County (East and West United) on Saturday, February 15th at Lussier Family YMCA - East.
