Gators started Super Bowl Sunday with an appearance at the Lake Geneva Conference Championship, Sunday February 11th, 2023. The meet included the Lake Geneva YMCA Ducks, Southeastern Aquatics and the J-Hawks Aquatic Club. Gators had 20 swimmers attend and had a combined score of 297, women's team earning 149 points and the men's team 112.
Gators had a fun night outside of the pool with family and friends at Monre's SLICE open skate night.
The younger swimmers attended the 8& Under All Star meet hosted by the J-Hawks on Sunday the 28th in Whitewater. Kinsley Huffman (8) and Harlan Gasaway (6) represented the Gators on Sunday at the 8 & Under All Star meet in Whitewater. The Gators Swim Team had a busy weekend traveling to Dubuque Iowa for an invitational with Dubuque, Maquoketa and YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley (IMV) on Saturday, January 27th. The Gators had 19 swimmers attend on Saturday with a combined team score of 728.50. The women’s team scored 422.5 points and the men’s team scored 306. The Green County YMCA Gators swim team had 17 swimmers travel to the Dodge County YMCA in Beaver Dam to participate in the Winter Tri meet against the DCY Sea Dragons and the Portage Piranhas on Sunday, January 21st, 2024. The Sea Dragons placed first overall with 2144 points, the Piranhas taking second place with 1424 points and the Gators third with a score of 736. Gators attended a 3 Day Swim Meet on Jan 12 - 14, attending the Sunday AM & PM with 9 swimmers. The Gators had 8 swimmers compete at the Lake Geneva Duck's Conference meet on Sunday, December 10th, 2023. Teams competing at the conference meet included J-Hawks Aquatic Club, Lake Geneva YMCA Ducks, Southeastern Aquatics. Heat winners won rubber ducks and fast times.
The Gators Swim Team held a home, intrasquad meet and collected food and pet donations for the Green County Food Pantry and the Green County Humane Society. The team raised 23 pet items and 240 food donation items equalling 227 lbs of food with a cost of $892.70!!!!! The team had 45 swimmers participate in the home meet. Events included both individual and relay events. Directly after the meet the team had a pizza party celebrating the kick off of the 2023 - 2024 swim season.
November 19, 2023 The Green County YMCA Gators swim team attended the Lucky Duck Invitation on Sunday, November 19th. The meet was hosted by the Rockford Stingrays and held at the Swedish American Riverfront YMCA in Rockford, Illinois. The Gators were one of nine teams which attended the meet, had six swimmers out of 284 total athletes and competed in eighteen events.
