In the first long course test of the year the Marlins proved they have the endurance for the longer races.  Jennifer Domanowski won the 200 butterfly, was 4th in the 100, 7th in the 400 free, 9th in the 400 IM, 13th in the 100 free, and 14th in the 200 IM.  Christina Domanowski scored in 3 races.  She was 4th in the 200 fly, 5th in the 400 free, and 10th in the 200 free.  11 year old Bindi rose up against much older competition to take 13th in...

Sarp Orgul broke a long standing record at the Jan. Mighty Marlins Dryland was a great success during the 2 weeks of Holiday Break!  12-15 Marlins showed up and did a non-stop complete body workout for 45 minutes that specifically targeted swimming muscles.  Soreness was had by all!!  We are looking to continue the dryland in some capacity in the near future so watch for details!

Thanks to a strong showing at finals on Sunday the Mighty Marlins hung on to win the Nutters Cup by 13 points over NWAC.  The evening was highlighted by Jennifer Domanowski taking 9th in the 200 IM and 10th in the 50 fly with times that were much faster than her prelim swims.  Spencer Girard contributed with a 10th place finish Sunday night in the 50 breast and Colin Willis was 11th in the 50 fly!  Other highlights of the meet included Melody Coleman 's drop of 7 seconds in...

Marlin Swimmers dropped tons of time to finish as some of the fastest swimmers in the country at their current age!  Bindi Pedersen swam the 3rd fastest time in the country for 11 year olds in the 200 breaststroke on way to a 3rd place finish in the 11-12 age group.  She also medaled in 4 other events and was in the top 10 in the country in 3 of them.  Christina Domanowski was also one of the countries top 10 in the 200 fly and 200 free. Erin Delaney showed her strength in the butterfly at Divisional Champs Dec. 3rd and 4th.  She took 3rd in the 100 fly and, with a 5 second time drop, took 2nd in the finals of the 200 fly.  Ben Veazey also had finishes in the top 6 with 4th in the 50 breast and 100 IM and 5th in the 50 free and 6th in the 50 back.  Kenzie Kinsey, Lawren Rainey, and Anna Veazey also had an exceptional meet, each with at least 3 best times.  The Pusateri’s (Rick, Debbie, Jason, Jonathan, Rebekah, and Luke) are going to Nairobi, Kenya as a part of a 20 member team to work in children’s orphanages for a nonprofit organization called Christian Ministries in Africa (CMIA). As a part of this effort, they are taking much needed supplies along on their trip, with a goal of filling 40 suitcases, loaded up to 50lbs each! Several Marlins hit their first PNS qualifying time of the season in their last opportunity.  Kara Libra beat the standard in the 50 free with an impressive relay lead off swim. Madi Rossnagle made the 100 breast stroke, and Raymon Tutewohl made the 50 free, 100 and 200 breaststroke.
