Thanks to a strong showing at finals on Sunday the Mighty Marlins hung on to win the Nutters Cup by 13 points over NWAC. The evening was highlighted by Jennifer Domanowski taking 9th in the 200 IM and 10th in the 50 fly with times that were much faster than her prelim swims. Marlin Swimmers dropped tons of time to finish as some of the fastest swimmers in the country at their current age! Bindi Pedersen swam the 3rd fastest time in the country for 11 year olds in the 200 breaststroke on way to a 3rd place finish in the 11-12 age group. Erin Delaney showed her strength in the butterfly at Divisional Champs Dec. 3rd and 4th. She took 3rd in the 100 fly and, with a 5 second time drop, took 2nd in the finals of the 200 fly. Ben Veazey also had finishes in the top 6 with 4th in the 50 breast and 100 IM and 5th in the 50 free and 6th in the 50 back. The Pusateri’s (Rick, Debbie, Jason, Jonathan, Rebekah, and Luke) are going to Nairobi, Kenya as a part of a 20 member team to work in children’s orphanages for a nonprofit organization called Christian Ministries in Africa (CMIA). As a part of this effort, they are taking much needed supplies along on their trip, with a goal of filling 40 suitcases, loaded up to 50lbs each! Several Marlins hit their first PNS qualifying time of the season in their last opportunity. Kara Libra beat the standard in the 50 free with an impressive relay lead off swim. Madi Rossnagle made the 100 breast stroke, and Raymon Tutewohl made the 50 free, 100 and 200 breaststroke. Many other Marlins had best times to increase their number of available PNS swims. A small but tough crew swam at the Storm Distance Meet in Lake Stevens! Christina Domanowski was the fastest 1000 swimmer at the meet posting a 10:52.84, Abby Magee was 6th with a 12:07.52, and Maggie Delaney, as a 10 year old competing against all ages, swam 14:17.20 for 19th. In the 1650 Jeffrey Lozensky swam an impressive 18:31.94 for 2nd, just missing the Senior PNS Qualifying time!

Mighty Marlin Swimmers showed they could swim all the strokes and swim them well at the Chinook Pentathlon. Jeffrey Lozensky had the best overall showing taking 2nd in his age group. Elle Lee and Kara Libra were 4th, and Madelynn Butler was 5th! Mary Grossenbacher, Garrett Huck, Lyric Ingram, Piper Lee, and Skyler Walker also swam well registering many best times! Way to go Multi-Talented Marlins!
Many Marlins combined for 36 best times at the Cascade Fall Back Meet in Seattle. Maggie Delaney, Emerson Jesus, Mel Lofton, and Bindi Pedersen led the way with 4 best times each.
