Normal Pumpkin Relays was complete chaos!

Nathaniel, Jeffrey, Abby and Jonathan led the way at the October Challenge with each achieving 7 best times.  Sarp, Rebekah, and Anna had 5 best times each, Thea, Kara, Leah, Josh M. and Benjamin added 4, Maggie H., Lawren, Hannah V. and Skyler all had 3 best times, Bindi, Kaili, Raymon, Burch and Colin chipped in 2 each and Holden, Madelynn, Maggie D., Christina, Mary, Lyric, Elle, Piper, Mel, Isaac and Emma each had 1 best time!  Total the Mighty Marlins had 96 best times!  Way to improve Marlins!

The Mighty Marlins started the season with a lot of best times at the Fall Thunderbird in Anacortes.  Several swimmers added PNS qualifying times a well.  Placing 3rd was a total team effort as all swimmers contributed by scoring points in at least 2 individual events. Bindi led the way with 10 1st place finishes and Christina was close behind with 8.  Madelynn and Elle each also scored first place finishes .  Marlins with 1 or more top 6 finishes included: Toria with 4, Holden-1, Erin-1, Maggie-10, Garrett-3, Kara-1, Mel-8, Jeffrey-5, Abby-10, Josh...

  Welcome baby Madeleine Rose Johanna Jenks, born August 30, 2011 at 8:02 am.  She weighs 8 lbs,  6 ounces and 20 inches in length.  She's a healthy baby girl, and she and mom are doing well.  Congratulations to the Jenks family!

(Referring to the Western Zone Meet in California.) “Kirby, Bindi said the trip, the area, the swimming were all awesome.  She met the top 10 year olds in the country.  She gave the top breaststroker and the top butterflyer a great race but finished second in both setting a new PNS record in the 100 breaststroke, 1:22:41 and a best time in the 100 fly of 1:11:71.  She got 2nd in the 200 IM with a new PNS record of 2:42:21, got third in the 200 free...

Jennifer Domanowski swam 3 events at Junior Nationals in Palo Alto California.  Jennifer met several college coaches at the meet and found out about their programs.  The trip was a great experience and a perfect way to prepare her for Olympic Trials next year. Seeing a great venue like the one at Stanford University and the best young swimmers in the world was a great way to see swimming at its best!!

A great team effort by 27 Mighty Marlins led to the win at the NCSSL Championships! Madelynn Butler and Justin Cram led the way winning all 3 of their races.  Holden Berg, Erin Delaney, Kevin Korte, Elle Lee, Kara Libra, and Raymon Tutewohl each contributed one victory for the Marlins.  Other Marlins with top 3 finishes earning a medal included: Lawren Rainey, John Snider, and Burch Walker.  Top 6 finishers earning ribbons included: Emma Beauchamp, Jetlynn Hau, Lyric Ingram, Addison Lee, Piper Lee, Chris Mischenko, Tony Preston, Mieko Schwartzmiller, Kaili Swan,...

Every Mighty Marlin that swam contributed to the Mighty Marlins impressive 7th place finish at PNS Champs.  Bindi Pedersen bettered 5 PNS records during the meet and Christina and Jennifer Domanowski each won the high point award for their age group to lead the way.  The key to the Marlins success was their performance in relays.  Trailing NWAC by 34 points with 2 relays to go the 15 & over girls and boys relays swam remarkable times to place 5th and 8th respectively, make up the deficit, and earn the...
