A lot of newer Marlins swam their first meet away from the MP pool and did very well at the January Challenge at Kamiak. All together we had 33 first time swims and 86 best times! Abby Magee led the way with 9 best times, Kevin English and Jeffrey Lozensky had 8 each. Christina Domanowski had 5 bests and Holden Berg, Kara Libra, and Bindi Pedersen had 4 each. Christina Domanowski scored in several events at the All-Star meet in Mt. Hood, where the best of the PNS took on Southern California, Pacific Swimming, Team British Columbia, and Oregon. The PNS took 3rd overall!

The Mighty Marlins took 7th at the Washington State Champs in Federal Way! Led by our strong group of girls we scored over 400 points to easily outscore the 8th place team! Jennifer Domanowski and Hannah Taylor led the way with strong finishes in all 6th of their events. Morgan Ginnis took the high point award for 13-14 year old girls by winning 4 events, in exciting fashion, and placing 2nd in 2 others. Morgan won the 50, 100, & 200 free, and the 200 IM, and was 2nd in the 100 and 200 back! Bindi Pedersen also won 4 events, the 50 & 100 breast, the 100 fly , and the 200 IM and was 2nd in 2 others and narrowly missed the high point award, as did Christina Domanowski who won the 200, 500, and 1650 free, and...
ErinDelaney brought home 3 medals from the Divisional Champs Meet in Silverdale. Erin was 5th in the 100 back and 200 fly, and 6th in the 200 IM. Amanda Collins also scored a top 6 finish with a 5th in the 100 fly! Hannah Davis swam the 11-12 Pentahlon and had 2 best times. Mackenzie Kinsey had 1 best time and Toria Benson had 2 as well. Way to go Marlins!

Rebekah Pusateri finally bettered the PNS qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke after numerous close calls in previous meets. Her time of 1:23.56 was 3-100ths under the standard. Rebekah had 2 other best times in the meet as well. The biggest improvements in the meet were made by Kara Libra and Abby Magee with 6 best times each. Raymon Tutewohl had 5, as did Jeffrey Lozensky.
