Eight Mighty Marlin Swimmer competed in the youth triathlon with some Mighty fine results! Rachel Hartmeyer won the womens division, Melody Coleman was 5th and Piper Lee took 8th in a strong 21 girl field.  Thirty boys competed.  Burch Walker led the Marlins with a 5th place finish, Keiran Stevens was 15th, Addison Lee 16th, Holden Berg 19th, and Keigan Stevens 26th. Way to stay strong Marlins even thoughthe 1/2 mile run became a 1 & 1/2 mile challenge!

The Mighty Marlins showed that swimmers are the best athletes around as they dominated the younger age groups of the Clear Lake Triathlon on Saturday!  Jewel LeValley won the 15-19 year old age group and Karoline Schaufler took 2nd.  Kara Koetje again won her age group (20-24).  In the youth Triathlon Rachel Hartmeyer dominated the run portion to win the girls division! The relay of Klayton Schaufler, Trevor LeValley, and Aaron Goff was 4th overall!  We had a lot of young Marlins do the kids triathlon and they did a great job. ...

They looked like everything except a group of new swimmers.  The Marlin crew looked as if they had been competing in meets all their lives and they came away with a lot of ribbons!! In a key tune up meet prior to PNS Champs the Mighty Marlins showed they are on track for a superb showing at the champs in late July.  "We have been working hard for 10 months and the work payed off as Marlin swimmers excelled at sprints and distance races at the West Coast invitaional." This Year we had swimmers swim a maximum of 200 lengths and recorded the time it took them to complete the 200 lengths.  It led to a new enthusiasm and some really fast hard swimming.  I think the goal was to get to the food at the table first but pride may have had something to do with it as well!  The key is that many swimmers swam longer then they ever have and probably farther then they thought they ever could, and they now realize that they have huge...

Even though some events included 25 heats (140 swimmers) Mighty Marlin Swimmers were among the tops! Each event had many heats and a lot of swimmers.  Yet several Mighty Marlins won Rosette ribbons for top 6 finishes.  Maggie Delaney led the way with a 1st, 7-2nds, and a 4th.  Erin Delaney had a 5th and a 6th, and Burch Walker scored a 2nd, 3rd, and 2-5ths.  Jennica Harper, Elle Lee, Piper Lee, and Mel Lofton all had multiple best times in this short course meters format!

At the Pac-Coast Invitational Swimmers competed in events with as many as 168 swimmers in them yet the Marlins still came out on top 16 times.  Morgan Ginnis and Hannah Taylor had multiple wins and won the overall point total for their age group.  Both Jennifer and Christina had more than 1 win as well and Christina ended up 2nd overal for 11-12 year olds and Jennifer was 3rd in the 15-16 age group.  Other Marlins taking top 16 in individual events included:  Melody Coleman, Oliver Durand, Spencer Girard, Rachel...

Maggie Delaney, Bindi Pedersen, and Sarp Orgul earned bobbleheads for winning the overall title in the Triple Pentathlon at Oak Harbor.  Maggie and Bindi had the best overall time for 10 events, and Sarp had to endure 15 events including the 200 of each stroke and the 400 IM for his victory. Christina Domanowski, Jennifer Domanowski, Jewel LeValley, Jeffrey Lozensky, and Burch Walker each won awards for top 6 finishes overall on individual day pentathlons.
