The Mighty Marlins swam great at the Senior PNS Champs in Federal Way. Ben Clark, in his first PNS Champs, swam best times in all 4 of his events. Allen Pringle also had best times in all 4 of his events including a top 16 finish in the 200 breaststroke. Jacob Christy capped off the meet with a 4 second drop in the 200 fly, earning him a top 8 finish, taking 7th in finals. All the hard work from these 3 swimmers has paid off! Way to go Mighty...

The Mighty Marlins greatness was on display at the second NCSSL Dual Meet of the summer. Not only do the marlin parents and volunteers host a great meet, the swimmers swam great as well. Fourteen different Marlins scored victories at the meet. Whitney Bianchi, Clara Davidson, Isla Hollingsworth, Luke and Zach Mullen, Ashby Takemoto, Owen Thompson, Kadie and Rylee Whall, Hannie and Jules Wilson, and Ryane Wright each had 2 wins, and Seth Davidson and Sam Nelson each had 1. Every other Marlin tallied at least 1 top 6 finish....

The Mighty Marlins Annual Frisbee Golf Tournament went well, with no major injuries! Aaron Ybarra significantly improved in number of lost frisbees, and only one tree lost a major limb. Pizza was enjoyed by all, with Jacob Christy reluctantly taking home the low score trophy. His modesty in the face of his greatness was remarkable. The Mighty Marlins competed in 3 meets in the last week. June 20-22 they were at the StingRay invitational in Snohomish. The weekend of June 26-28 they were at the Senior Seattle Open in West Seattle, and a dual meet with Storm in Lake Stevens. At the StingRay invite, 19 Marlins combined for 70 best times. The Mighty Marlins swam a total of 8,866 lengths, 221,650 yards, or 125.9 miles at the Swim-A-Thon on Thursday at the MP Pool! Over 20 parents helped-out, to make this a fun and very rewarding experience. It is great for these swimmers, and their parents, to see just what great athletes they are and what they can achieve! The Marlins have raised over $7400.00 dollars so far, and can continue to collect pledges until July 11th. Awards for top money winners will be given out at our Banquet August 1st!...

The Mighty Marlins set a new Apple Capital Meet record for Marshmallow and Smore consumption. Doing so in 3 nights, around the campfire, at Lincoln Rock State Park. To set the record, the eaters had to successfully swim the next day, without a stomach ache, and that was achieved. There was some great swimming at the meet in Wenatchee. The Mighty Marlins scored big at the Pac-Coast Meet held in Snohomish this weekend. According to the Swim Cloud Website scoring system, our boys were 1st at the meet and our girls were 4th. Leading the way for the boys was Jacob Christy with 2 victories and 5 other top 8 finishes. Layne Kopischka and Gavin Plano also had 7 top 8 finishes. Eight different Marlins scored victories at the Spring Thunderbird Meet in Anacortes. Ava Thompson led the way in victories with 5. Her wins came in the 200 and 800 freestyle, 100 fly and the 200 back and breast. Jacob Christy had 4, winning the 100 and 200 fly, the 200 breast, and the 400 IM. Clara Davidson also had 4 wins. Bolu Ojo led the way at the KING Spring Derby in Federal Way. Bolu was the only Marlin that made the finals, in the only prelims-finals event, the 50 free. Bolu ended up 5th in that, and also tallied top 10 finishes in the 100 free-7th, and 8th in the 100 back and 50 fly.
