Around 300 swimmers from 12 teams made the pool roar of excitement and Gators were able to come up with good results. Friday prelims arrived and the athletes were ready to perform. For the younger swimmers, this was their first time seeing the older swimmers race. Regardless, this past weekend, Gators took over and showed their talents at the Whistler Swim Meet, hosted by Whistler Sea wolfs. By Coach Agatha, Gators’ Gold, Silver, Youth B, and Alligator swimmers attended the WVOSC Development Meet on May 19th. We started the day bright and early at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre with our athletes ready to take on the day. Although it was a shorter meet, our swimmers still had a great time cheering each other on during each race, and spending their rest time with the coaches. For some of our swimmers this was their first Long Course swim meet, while some others used their expertise to swim over the competition. Around 350 swimmers split three days of competition in two big sessions. Mornings were swam by 14 & Over swimmers while evening sessions corresponded to the 13 & Under athletes.
