Regardless, this past weekend, Gators took over and showed their talents at the Whistler Swim Meet, hosted by Whistler Sea wolfs. As part of our season, this was the first travel meet for Senior groups and some junior swimmers. By Coach Anchie, Elite groups attended the Hyack Long course invitational on May 17 to 19th. The meet featured both prelims and finals, providing an excellent racing opportunity. Elite has trained hard lately and our hard work paid off. Our athletes performed well across multiple events over the three days, excelling in both the prelims and finals. By Coach Agatha, Gators’ Gold, Silver, Youth B, and Alligator swimmers attended the WVOSC Development Meet on May 19th. We started the day bright and early at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre with our athletes ready to take on the day. Although it was a shorter meet, our swimmers still had a great time cheering each other on during each race, and spending their rest time with the coaches. By Coach Daniel, A three day swim meet was hosted by Richmond Rapids from May 3rd to May 5th at Watermania. For some of our swimmers this was their first Long Course swim meet, while some others used their expertise to swim over the competition. Around 350 swimmers split three days of competition in two big sessions. Mornings were swam by 14 & Over swimmers while evening sessions corresponded to the 13 & Under athletes. We did a great job by achieving 28 new personal best times, new provincial and divisional events and a new club record. We proudly brought Sephora Lee and Jaden Leung to this national competition. This event signifies a monumental moment for us, marking our return to the national stage after a decade.
