6 CW Medals at Ontario Festivals!

The mid-July weekend was a busy one for Club Warriors with two provincial championship meets taking place at opposite ends of the GTA. From July 16-19, twelve Junior Elite/Elite swimmers headed to Markham for the Ontario Youth-Juniors (OYJ). Meanwhile, seventeen of our fastest 13&Under Warriors made their way to the Etobicoke Olympium to compete in the Ontario Summer Festivals for 3 days. With the return of the provincial championships after over 2 years of cancellations and multiple interruptions to in-pool training (including this season), we are so proud of all our swimmers who worked hard to qualify to compete in these events.

Last minute program changes didn’t faze our 13&Under swimmers at the Summer Festivals who delivered some amazing, nail-biter races with many best times to end their season!

Special shout out to our Medal Winners:

• Owen Inglis: Bronze in 100 Breast and 200 Breast
• Connor Brown: Silver in 200 Fly and 200 IM; Bronze in 50 Fly and 100 Fly

And our other Top 10 finishers - Hayley Muscat and Claire Qin!

Achieving personal best times is a commendable feat at the Festivals, especially after competing only 2 weeks ealier at the Regional championships. Congratulations to the following swimmers who secured 50-100% Best Times:

Ava Bast, Sophie Giles, Nataliya Kulevskaya, Sami Manjunath, Hayley Muscat, Claire Qin, Stella Sedra, Kalyn Wu, Connor Brown, Tyler Howes, Elijah Gurfinkel, Kaleb Hunt, Owen Inglis, Ryan Papke and John Park.

We would like to thank all our young swimmers, their parents and coaches for a great season, and look forward to seeing everyone next year!
