Time Standards
Updated November 12, 2025
Certain meets require swimmers to achieve qualifying times before they can compete. Swimming Canada publishes time standards for the Junior and Senior Nationals; Swim Ontario posts standards for the Provincial Championship meets; and the Western Ontario Swimming Association (WOSA) publishes standards for the Regional Championships. Clubs that host meets sometimes place qualifying and de-qualifying standards for their meet. A de-qualifying standard is a time for an event that a swimmer must be below in order to participate.
