Festival North Competition

During late January a team of 34 swimmers competed in Sherwood park at the Swim Alberta Festival North competition. 

The team swam fantastic all weekend taking part in 9 individual events and relays. After the two days of comp the Piranhas once again finished the competition as the best u10/11 club in Northern Alberta with seventeen 1st places, six 2nd places and nine 3rd places! 

Taylor Watson was the star of the weekend achieving first places in all of her individual swims in the 9yrs old category! 

Emma Thomas, Seneca Paradis & Mille Robinson finished in the podium positions in their respect age categories of 8 & 9 years old.

Jaxon Monsen achieved 6 first places out of 9 individual races and was in the top three for 2 more races. Jaxon also achieved a Youth Recognition award for his performances so far this season!

Ethan Dawson was 1st in the 50m Breaststroke 

and in the top 3 in the majority of his other races.

Evan Kolosky, Tim Renooy, Slava Vlasova also contributed to the top 3 placing for the boys in their respective age categories.

The team also managed to win both the Mixed Freestyle Relay & Boys Medley Relay and finish top 3 in the other relay events! 

Well done to all the other swimmers that competed and came home with top 8 ribbons!
