Stefan Milosevic placed second twice in the 200 free and 400 IM. He earned $100 for those two swims. Justin K earned a A final in the 50 Fly and B finals in 50 free and 200 fly. Igor also second swam his 50 fly 50 free and 200 fly.
Preliminaries were typically hard fought for on this final day of the meet. No lull from the competitors to allow for an off swim to sneak into finals. Preliminaries were good for Hyack. With finals being a really tough level to get to it was vital to be fast in the morning. The evening started with Justin Kiedrzyn swimming off 100 Free. A great race and a huge best time to go to 52.19. Next Mia up with another drop in her 200 fly to finish 5th in the B at 219.40. Stefan in the final of thr 200 fly races a great race that saw some really close google to goggle battle with the German swimmer. Swimmers looked good and relaxed in the water today. Good trip down and now it's time to go. It will be very tough sledding vs some very high level competition. After a several year absence from this meet its time to test our mettle!
Hyack swimmers earn 5 medals on day 3 of Youth Cup. Wendy (with team bc) earns gold (400MR), silver (200MR) and silver 50Fr going under 27 seconds for the first time. Ethan doubled up his 200Br gold on day 2 with a gold in the 100 Br while just missing top 8 in his 100 back. The first day of the meet saw some great 800/1500 fr and 400IMs A good effort for Victoria in her 800 fr while nursing an ankle injury. Igor had a strong 1500 just off his best time finishing 10th while Mia and Sarah went out hard in their 800's and won their heats in personal bests by 9 and 15 seconds respectively (Sarah finishing 6th).
