Kyle Stefanides

HEAD SENIOR COACH

Email: [email protected]

Kyle grew up in New Jersey, where he began his swimming career with the New Jersey Bluestreaks at the age of seven. As he quickly progressed in the sport, he moved to the highly competitive Lakeland Hills YMCA swim team (also in New Jersey) where he swam throughout his middle school and high school years. Thanks to the great coaching he experienced during that time, he went on to represent the University of Massachusetts, where he swam Division 1, and was a two-time captain of the team throughout his four-year collegiate career. It was at UMass where Kyle met his now fiance, Jennifer, who was also a four-year swimmer with the team. After college, Kyle took on an assistant Senior & Age Group coaching position with the Bend Swim Club in Bend, OR, which is where he realized senior level coaching was his true calling and passion.

Kyle joins the North Jeffco Swim Team staff as the head senior coach, and brings with him a deep knowledge and understanding of the sport through both his coaching experiences and own personal experiences in the water. Kyle’s coaching philosophy puts emphasis not only on swimmers’ physical progression in the pool, but also their mental approach and wellbeing as it pertains to the sport.
