The National Team

This team is composed of talented swimmers who train for twenty hours or so a week during the school year and double that during vacations and summers in order to pursue excellence. In addition, the finest of this group also study film and read scientific papers in order to find the edge which will propel them onto the winners stand.

At this level of competition, the brain is the champion's ultimate edge.

Head Coach Bruno Darzi runs the National Team.

Six days per week:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Wednesday - 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Saturday - 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Summer Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00 - 11:30 am

Wednesday - 8:00 - 10:30 am

Saturday - 8:00 - 10:30 am

Afternoon practices: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - 4:00 - 6:00 pm

"Doubles" are offered during the summer and, sometimes, during the school year.

The National Team is a group of top swimmers who train for 20 hours or a per week during the school year and double that during vacations and summers in order to pursue excellence. This group is consisted of numerous of athletes of all ages with the ambition, work ethic and commitment to succeed at the national and international level.

Goals include: Making cuts for and participating at Futures, Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, and the top international meets. Practice is rigorous and includes the use of all state of the art training techniques, including lactate testing.

Dryland consists of plyometrics, core exercises, dryland cords, weight training, cardio, stretching and yoga. This group will practice 6 days a week and participate at swim meets all over the world. The water practice range between 5,000-8,000 meters, which includes endurance training as well as speed work. We spend countless hours working on technique to ensure that all of our swimmers compete at the highest level. During specific training phases, the group is divided in small groups with speficic workouts designed to fulfill each athletes' needs.
