We swam over 130 practices, 750,000 yards, and countless hours preparing for this meet.  All the hard work, dedication, and focus gave us the opportunity to have a fantastic meet.  In one of the fastest meets in the country, we had many great swims, best times, and awesome races.  Swimmers from Alaska down to New Mexico were here to compete in the fastest meet in the month of March.    Rachel Millet highlighted the meet with a 10th place performance in the 100 Free, and 14th in the 200.  And...

The 2010 Shamrock Shakeup Meet was an amazing success.  Our swimmers were amazing, impressing their coaches with some awesome swims and demonstrating some incredible progress over the past few months! We had 83 Spokane Waves swimmers participate in the meet this weekend.  We had 242 lifetime best swims out of those 83 swimmers, for an average of about 3 lifetime bests per swimmer!  That is incredible!  We also had several of our younger swimmers participate in their first ever swim meet.  Congratulations to everyone on a fantastic weekend. Here are...

SWAT Places Third for First Time! For the first time ever, the Spokane Waves Aquatic Team placed in the top three at the Inland Empire Championships.  Every swim counted…literally.  In a meet where over 4000 points were scored, we beat out the 4th place team by 1.5 points!!! That means one very simple thing—every time a SWAT swimmer moved up a spot or touched someone out, they gained 1 more point for the team.  EVERY RACE MATTERED!  Great work at IE Champs, it was truly a team effort.   Our...
