The Armada Boosters Club, Inc. ("ABC") was founded in 2018. Our mission is to support our Albany Armada Aquatics Swim Club athletes by fostering team spirit and leadership through our programs. We are a 501 c3 non-profit (EIN: 82-2901504).
Our organization supports Armada Swimmer scholarships, which we successfully issued in our inaugural year 2018 and 2023. Scholarships provide financial assistance to a broader base of athletes that may not have been able to pay team fees in the past. We also support our coaching staff by providing training so they are equipped to increase the competitive levels of our swimmers.
We are also focused on community engagement programs via our Armada Together initiative and have implemented the below, with additional community engagement programs underway.

Summer Abroad Programs to South Africa
A key source of funding for Armada Boosters Clubs is our yearly Summer Armada Adventure Camp. Since 2018, we have had hundreds of young enthusiastic campers join us in camp curriculum that combines pool time to work on critical swimming and swim safety skills, rotating stations of various activities and weekly outings within the East Bay. We also offer Counselor-In-Training programs for Albany Armada swimmers to encourage the leadership development of the more senior swmmers.

We work to bridge connections globally by immersing ourselves in the communities we visit in order to develop lifelong relationships with our brothers and sisters overseas. We have as much to learn as we have to teach, and through partnership we wish to enrich our swimmers and expand our world view.
OUR MISSION
The Armada Abroad Program (AAP) is a cultural exchange program sponsored by the Armada Boosters Club, in which Albany Armada Aquatics swimmers bring real, concrete benefits to partner communities while stimulating mutual and reciprocal learning opportunities.

After a successful inaugural trip to South Africa during the summer 2022 when we brought 15 Armada swim team members to impact the community of Kliptown in the Soweto Township outside Johannesburg, we are ready to start planning for 2023.
