The Armada Swim & Adventure Camp is open to 6-12 year old swimmers looking to foster an active lifestyle filled with the love for swimming and the outdoors. Our camp is also suitable for competitive swimmers who are seeking additional development on stroke techniques and training.

Each camp week will consist of:

  • A focus on swimming skills and water safety sessions with a counselor to camper ration of 1:5.
  • Activities and dryland to focus on building strength for swimming.
  • Fun adventuring on Fridays with an offsite outing.
  • Team building and leadership development for counselors in training (CITs) and counselors.

Campers should have a basic level proficiency for free and backstroke. Other strokes are not required, and will be taught as the swimmers progress. If you have questions regarding your swimmers ability and are unsure if their skills would qualify for this camp please reach out to the camp director, Jesus Salcedo for a swim assessment.

Location: Albany Aquatic Center & Memorial Park, 1311 Portland Ave, Albany CA.

Regular camp hours are from 9am-3pm daily.

Extended care is available from 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm.

Since the camp is outdoors for most of the day, with the swimming sessions usually around the hottest part of the day, we recommend that sunblock and / or rash guards be used during the swimming sessions to protect against sunburn.

We also recommend wearing hats when outside of the pool.

The Armada Swim & Adventure Camp is affiliated with the Albany Armada Aquatics swim team and a key program run by the Armada Boosters Club.

We offer counselor-in-training opportunities with reduced camp fees as well as paid counselor positions. All CITs and counselors must attend training sessions and orientation. Interested applicants should contact Coach Jesus.
