REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
The Armada Swim & Adventure Camp is open to 6-12 year old swimmers looking to foster an active lifestyle filled with the love for swimming and the outdoors. Every week we will cover all four strokes with a focus on technique, starts and turns in all strokes.
Campers should have a basic level proficiency for free and backstroke. Other strokes are not required, and will be taught as the swimmers progress.
For Summer 2023, we hope to venture beyond the pool. Our adventures will be focused on hiking to local fun spots for picnics, arts and crafts projects, and games on the lawn! We will add a few other Friday adventures beyond a walk-able area, but will keep registered families posted on those details as we get closer to summer.
Please note that campers should have basic ability in a minimum of 2 strokes. If you have questions regarding your swimmers ability and are unsure if their skills would qualify for this camp please reach out to the camp directors for a swim assessment.
Location: Albany Aquatic Center & Memorial Park, 1311 Portland Ave, Albany CA
Regular camp hours are from 9am-3pm daily.
Extended care is available from 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm.

COVID Precautions (To be updated according to county guidelines in place at the time of camp)
All camp staff are fully vaccinated. We are following Alameda county guidelines, and ask that those that are not vaccinated wear a mask or face shield when not in the pool. Also, if anyone in your household is exposed to anyone testing positive for COVID, we ask that you keep your camper at home and please inform us immediately. If your child has a fever or any other symptoms, please be considerate of all campers and staff and keep your child at home. Hand santizer is readily available and our play equipment is wiped down frequently. The locker rooms at the pool are available for changing purposes, but a pop-up changing tent is available outside for those that do not wish to use the lockers rooms. We continue to work in coordination with the Aquatic Center and the AUSD to ensure safety for all those in and around the camp, including staff, campers and pool staff. Please reach out to us with any specific questions.
Behavioral Agreement Between AS&AC and Camp Families
As part of registration, parents/guardians and campers will be asked to review the Camp Behavior Expectation Agreement so we can work towards creating a fun and safe summer experience for everybody. Note that failure to follow these expectations will result in an unsafe or unenjoyable atmosphere for you and others in the camp. Should that happen, the following consequences, depending on the severity of the situation or if the behavior persists, may occur: a) Camp Directors will discuss behavior with the camper, b) Camp Directors will discuss the behavior with the parent/guardian, c) the child may be sent home immediately for the day, and d) in extreme cases, child will be sent home and not allowed to return to camp. The AS&AC reserves the right to refuse admission for campers that have violated this camp behavior contract.
