CDST return to Zone 2 Championships after 8 years at Moraga, 1/29-1/30. We had 30+ swimmers from all age groups participate in the meet, including 10 relay teams. Elite, Senior, Platinum Group provided 80% of CDST entries and relay teams. We also had 4 swimmers selected to the Zone Challange Team, and represent Zone 2 to compete in Pacific Swimming Zone Challange Meet at the end of February 2022. CDST had 68 people enter last weekend's SRVA C/B/BB Meet at San Ramon. Many of them were the first time at the USA Swimming Meet. It wasn't great weather for the swimming meet; however, CDST swimmers showed their strength and were not afraid of any cold wind and rain. Last week, Edward Huang and Coach Chen traveled to the WInter Junior National at Austin, Texas. It was the first CDST has swimmer and coach to participate in the Winter Junior National, and this was Edward's first appearance in the national level meet. His outstanding performance made him advance to the Junior National Finals for the first time! What an accomplishment for him and CDST! CDST's 13-14 age group boys did an excellent job at the 2021 Winter Junior Olympic at Santa Clara International Swim Complex last weekend. Individuals Eric Meng, 13 Eric placed 5th in the Individual High Point of his age group. CDST had a 50 people squad at the AAA C/B/BB meet; the largest group of CDST swimmers participated in a swim meet in the past two years. CDST was the largest club team at this meet, and most of the CDST swimmers are from our age groups. CDST's Elite group did a great job at last weekend's Senior II Trial & Final Meet at Concord. This meet used the championship format, so swimmers swim their prelims and finals if they are qualified. Relay events also swam in this meet. We haven't had a championship format meet in the last two years. CDST has 20+ swimmers who participated in the three meets, BSW CBA(Brentwood), LAC CBA(Livermore), and WCAB Senior Open(Walnut Creek) last weekend. This weekend is first-time CDST's name back to Pacific Swimming's meets since 2014.
