Bremerton YMCA swim team's Isaiah Snow was named to the Pacific Northwest All Star team this week. Snow is among eight swimmers in his age category (11-12) in the Pacific Northwest Swimming region selected to compete in Santa Rosa, Calif., Jan. 5-6. Snow will compete on an all-star team against other swimmers from the Pacific Swimming (PC), PNS, Oregon Swimming (OR) and Southern California (CA). Bainbridge Island Swim Club's Lia Campbell won two events this weekend at the 14 & Under Pacific Northwest Swimming Championships. Campbell won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.31 seconds in the 13-14 year-old division and the 200 free in 1 minute, 53.84 seconds at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way. Bremerton YMCA Swim Team's Sam Lingenbrink secured a second event for the YMCA Nationals next spring. Lingenbrink, who already qualified in the 200-yard backstroke for the meet in April, will also swim the 100 backstroke after setting a qualifying time at the recent Husky Invitational at Kitsap County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Samantha Lingenbrink, a Central Kitsap junior, became the first Bremerton Family YMCA swim team member to qualify for the YMCA Nationals in more than two decades.
