PNS Officials Clinics (2023-24)

The following clinics are for certification and re-certification of Officials in the positions as indicated. Clinicians, locations, and clinic times will be updated here as they are scheduled. Below is a synopsis of what is required.  Please see Policies for complete information.

There is a $15 Fee when attending your initial Stroke & Turn clinic or Admin Official (no prior S&T history) clinic.

There is a $5 fee for the initial Starter, Referee, or Admin Official (existing S&T certification) clinic. You must have served in the previous position for at least one year.

All Officials re-certifying should email their credentials and sessions log (minimum 20 per 2 years) to your clinician before your clinic. You must take the re-certification test for the highest level you are re-certifying and the re-certification tests for other positions you hold. Please email those results to your clinician before your clinic. Stroke and Turn and Starters re-certify at the clinics posted. Referee re-certification clinics occur in the Spring and/or early Autumn, as posted.  Please see Official's Policy for complete requirements under the Officials tab.    

Pre-registration is required for all clinics.  Click the link to the right of the clinic you would like to attend, complete the registration form, and submit. Once the clinician receives and approves your registration, you will receive clinic-specific information. The Clinic schedule is updated periodically, so continue to check back if you don't find the clinic you want to attend.

Note: Class sizes are limited to 25 for S&T/Starter Clinics and 10 for AO Clinics.  If applicable, in-person clinics must follow local health guidelines (e.g., masks, distancing, etc.).

Registration Information
Registration consists of four parts: (1) USA Swimming registration, (2) Background screen through USA Swimming, (3) USA Swimming Athlete Protection Training, and (4) Concussion Training. You must be current in all four parts to be in good standing. You can check your status on the USA Swimming website in your New USA Swimming Account.

 * NOTE: Clinics are typically held from September through January to ensure the process can be completed within PNS Clinic guidelines and based on the current Rule Book tests. If you are requesting a clinic outside those months and have at least a group of 5, a clinic could be accommodated but know there may be modifications (shortened period)  to complete the requirements.
