When we move to the Ed Center pool it takes a little time for the younger swimmers to adjust because it is harder for them to hear the coaches because of the gutter system. DolfinFamilies, Battle of the Ages is only a month away! What is Battle of the Ages? Battle of the Ages is a swim invitational hosted by our team, where swimmers swim against competitors within 1 year of their age. For example, 11 year olds swim against other 11 year olds rather than swimming against 11 and 12 year olds. The Parent Meeting on Thursday, 5/16 (tomorrow) is at the Pleasant Hill Teen Center, 147 Gregory Lane at 7:00 PM. Hello Dolfins! Starters and Referees are essential to run a swim meet. We need one starter and one referee on the pool deck for each home meet. The job of the Starter is to give instructions to the swimmers and start the swimmers for each heat. They also call false starts if necessary The job of the Referee is to partner with the starter to get the swimmers prepared to start each race. The referee is responsible for the pace of the meet.
