Good morning SVYA Tritons, We just had another successful home meet this past weekend (BIG thank you to all the volunteers that helped out and made this opportunity possible), and I have several bits of information to share with everyone! Out of our 25 swimmers, we had 46 personal best swims on Sunday; our biggest time drop goes to Ezra Dryden who improved almost 12 seconds in the 50 fly! Meet results were sent out to those that attended, and I have uploaded the meet result PDF to the event...
Good morning SVYA Tritons, Hoping everyone is doing good and has had some time to rest from a busy May! Here is a quick list of important upcoming dates: I have updated the event page for our home swim meet on June 11th - the deadline to register will be Monday June 5th at 11:59pm. There will not be practice on Friday (May 26th) / Monday (May 29th) in observance of Memorial day. Our coaching staff will have workouts written for Friday for anyone wanting to independently swim that day....
Hi all, Hope you are all getting a chance to enjoy the rest of your sunny Sunday! I have just started the verification process of the results of our home swim meet, but am excited to share some of the early results - Overall, our team had 26 swimmers compete and earn 58 personal best times! (This is not including relays, but does include legal first time individual swims!) Our relays had great success as well, and our team had taken first place in all but one of the relay...
For those of you who ordered hanging baskets, they will be delivered on Friday May 5th! I am hoping that it turns out to be a nice day, but the weather forecast says otherwise. We will have the plants in the back, please check in with me to pick out your basket. Plants will be available for pickup from 3:00pm-7:00pm. If you are unable to pickup your plant(s), let me know! Best, Joseph Shelly
Good morning SVYA Tritons! Got a few quick things I wanted to bring to everyone's attention: The upcoming meets in Wenatchee and Moses Lake have deadlines coming up very soon. We have been allowed to extend our deadline to tomorrow for a final call for the meet in Wenatchee (June 23-25). If you have any questions please let me know. The Moses Lake meet is in July 7-9 and will be at a water park - This will be a fun meet that also is in central Washington. If we...
Good morning, I want to start off by congratulating all of our swimmers who attended the meet last week! This was our team's first meet in a meter pool this year, and is a great first step towards trying out an Olympic sized pool! As such, everyone who swam there had a personal best swim as long as they swam legally (and our swimmers who do already have short course meter, SCM, times did also PB almost every event)! On the heat sheet, they gave "seed times" but these were...
Good afternoon SVYA! Just a few quick updates: *We will have a combined practice on April 26th from 5:00pm - 6:00pm for all practice groups! This will feature some relays (with peer teaching opportunities) and a game! Tsunami group swimmers may stay after 6:00pm if they wish to complete an optional workout. *I have finished updating our meet schedule, and have those events posted on our website. Please let me know if there are any questions! *Additionally, there is a change to our May 20-21 BBST meet attendance: We will...
Good afternoon all! Hoping you are all enjoying the sunshine after a rainy weekend. We have a few upcoming for our team, and here is a quick overview: The Admin Official class is scheduled on May 2nd at 7:00pm! This is an important role that is very scarce in our northern WA region. If you are interested, please let me know and I can help you get started! I am posting the instructions below. We will have practice on Friday! Coach Isaac will be on deck at Anacortes' Fidalgo Pool...
Hi all, I have received an email from our lead official instructor, and he is planning on making a new officials class for those who can help with administrative duties! Our northern region is very short on Admin Officials (AOs), and so we are in need of volunteers who could help! I have been running the time system during our home meets, and assisting AOs that have been gracious enough to volunteer from other teams. AOs are "dry side" officials who keep the meets running and verify that times are...
Good afternoon all, Hope you all had a wonderful Spring break! We have a few meets coming up soon and I will be gradually adding things to our website as I receive more information to share. Today is also the last day to sign up for the TAC meet (April 21-23), so please let me know if you are planning on going and haven't already signed up! I have just gotten in touch with a team in Wenatchee who are planning on hosting in mid/late June, but they would like...
