Meet the Instructors - 2025 Season

Allison McCombie

 

Allison just finished her sophomore year at the University of Arizona studying a B.S. in Nutrition. She has been a member of the Tsunami swim team since she was nine, and has taken on a few different roles since she first began working at FPCC: Lead Swim Coach, Swim Instructor, and Lifeguard for the past five seasons, and she will be taking on one of the Assistant Manager positions this year. She is currently a member of the University of Arizona’s women’s club water polo team and enjoys keeping up with the sport in her free time! Allison is very excited for her sixth season here at FPCC and can’t wait to see everyone on deck! Go Tsunamis!

Anna Juul

Anna is so excited to work her third season at FPCC! She is an incoming senior at Archbishop Mitty High School. Anna has been a part of the FPCC swim team since she was in the third grade, and this is her third season being a swim instructor and lifeguard at the pool! Anna for her freshman, sophomore, and junior year played for the Mitty’s Women Water Polo program and swam for the Mitty’s Swim team. In her free time, Anna loves hanging out with her friends and going to the beach. Anna can’t wait to see everyone back at the pool this season! 

Anna McCombie

Anna is so excited to start her third season as a swim instructor and lifeguard at FPCC! She has been working at the pool for only a few years now, but Anna has been swimming on the Tsunamis swim team since she was in first grade. She is a current junior at Archbishop Mitty high school playing for the swim and water polo team, and she will be a senior this August, 2025. In her free time, she loves to hangout with her friends and family as well as babysit and dogsit. Anna can't wait to see and meet the new and returning swimmers! Go Tsunamis! 

Arwen Hirsch

 

Arwen is the Swim Lesson Coordinator and is delighted to be in her fifth year of teaching lessons at FPCC. This fall she will begin her third year at UC Davis studying linguistics and human development in hopes of becoming a speech-language pathologist. When she’s not in/by the pool, she loves to explore the outdoors and try new recipes. After swimming for the Tsunamis for a decade, she can confidently say that swimming is an amazingly fun and important skill to learn. She can’t wait to help all levels of swimmers feel the same way!

Ayesha Godhwani

Ayesha is thrilled to work her first year as an instructor and lifeguard at FPCC. She is going to be a senior in high school this fall at Archbishop Mitty High School. While this is her first year swimming at the pool, she has been a part of her school’s competitive swim team since freshman year which she really enjoys. Ayesha loves to go to the beach, snorkel and scuba dive, and visit many new places. She wants to travel to as many countries as she can! She is so excited to meet the new swimmers and to have an amazing summer! 

Bridget Juul

 

Bridget can’t wait for her fourth season here at Forest Park! She is an incoming freshman at Santa Clara University this fall. She has been a competitive swimmer for over a decade, and a member of the Tsunami Swim Team since she was 12 years old. She was a member of the Archbishop Mitty HS water polo and swim teams for four years. In her free time, she loves going to the beach! Bridget is looking forward to seeing everyone again for another amazing season! Go Tsunamis!

Gordon Vernooy

Gordon is excited to be back for another season at FPCC! Gordon is going into his junior year of high school and has been a part of his high school's varsity water polo team for his first two years of high school. He has been a part of FPCC's swim team since he was 6, has been playing club level water polo since he was 10, and has been on an olympic development team since he was 14. In his free time Gordon likes hiking in the Sierra mountains and playing games with friends at the pool. He is thrilled to meet all of the new swimmers for this year! GO TSUNAMIS!!

Holly Sidford

 

My name is Holly Sidford and I am a senior at Santa Clara High. I am 18 years old, and I will be attending West Valley Community College in the fall. This is my third year at FPCC, and I work as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I have an extra year of experience at a previous pool as well. Some of my favorite things to do in the summer include working at the pool, as well as swimming in general and working out while listening to my favorite tunes! I love working with the kids and I am so excited to continue working at FPCC this summer and meeting more FPCC families!




 

Irene Suprenant

 

 

Irene is looking forward to working her second year at FPCC! She is heading into her senior year at Archbishop Mitty High school where she has played volleyball for two years. She has been swimming at Forest Park since she was 5 years old and has always had the most amazing experience so she is so glad she can now help create memories for other kids. In her free time Irene loves going to the beach and playing volleyball. She is so excited for this season! Go Tsunamis!!!

Karl Juul

Karl is so excited to work his first season at FPCC! He is an incoming sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School. Karl has been a part of the FPCC swim team since he was in first grade. This is his first season being a swim instructor and lifeguard at the pool! Karl is a part of the Mitty Men’s Water Polo team and swims for Mitty’s Swim team. In his free time, Karl loves watching movies and hanging out with his friends. Karl is thrilled for this swimming season! 

Katrina Suprenant

Hi, I’m Katrina! I am going to be a sophomore at the University of San Diego. I have been on the Tsunami swim team since I was six years old and swam for my high school team for two seasons. This is my third year working as an instructor, coach, and lifeguard. I’m super excited to instruct this summer!

Maddie Schmitt

 

Maddie is thrilled to guard and instruct for her third year at FPCC!! She is an incoming freshman at UC San Diego studying chemical engineering. She loves being in the water and has been competitively swimming since she was seven. Maddie has been on many teams —including the Tsunamis— and she has loved every team she has swam for. She also loves to listen to music and hang out with friends whenever she can. She is very eager to be apart of the Forest Park community for another fun summer!!

Maddie Nesdahl

Maddie just finished her freshman year at Point Loma Nazarene University, studying Applied Health Science in hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant. She is a new face to FPCC, but she has had almost 4 years of coaching experience with soccer, and used to be on swim team as a kid. When she is not in school she enjoys being at the beach, hanging out with her friends, calling home, going on runs, and playing soccer. Maddie has been taught herself how to swim and has been a water girl for as long as she can remember. She can’t wait to start her first summer with us at FPCC! 

Marie Ryan

Marie is excited to be back for another year at FPCC! She’s taught swim lessons for four years and loves to coach all ages and skill levels. She spent a good decade (plus some) swimming for the Tsunamis and did four years of swimming and water polo in high school. She just finished her sophmore year majoring in civil engineering at Northeastern University, where she plays on the club water polo team.

Marijka Vernooy

Marijka is entering her fourth year at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She’s pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. She was a member of the Tsunami swim team growing up, and has worked at FPCC for several seasons as a Lifeguard, Swim Coach, and Swim Instructor. She loves teaching swimming and any chance to get outdoors, and is excited to teach lessons this season at FPCC! Go Tsunamis!

Soren Hirsch






 

Soren is happy to return to swim instructing at FPCC for the 2025 season! He is currently enrolled at UC Davis studying economics and global trade but enjoys playing and listening to music in his free time. Soren has many fond memories of swimming at Forest Park and wants to guide newer swimmers in becoming safe and confident in the water!

Yash Agrawal

Yash is very excited to work his first season at FPCC! He is an incoming sophomore at Cupertino High School. Yash has been a part of the Tsunami swim team since he was 5 years old and swims for the Cupertino High School swim team. In his free time, he loves to go on long bike rides with his friends and spend time with family. This is his first year working as a swim instructor. Yash is looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great summer!
