Meet the Coaches - 2025 Season

 

 Bruce Garibaldi, Head Coach

Hello, my name is Bruce Garibaldi, I'm the pool manager and head swim coach here at FPCC. I've been a swim instructor and coach for over a decade. I've coached every level from water babies to high school and club team. I'm excited to get this season started!

 

Nora Burkhardt, Swim Team Coordinator, Lead Coach

Nora is returning this summer for her fifth year as a lifeguard, third year as a swim coach, and second year as swim team coordinator. She is currently a junior at Gonzaga University studying nursing. Nora swam on the Forest Park swim team for over ten years, starting at age five, and has played water polo in high school and at school in Washington. She can’t wait to be back at FPCC for one last year and is looking forward to this season!

 

Allison McCombie, Lead Coach

Allison just finished her Junior year at the University of Arizona studying Nutrition. There, she plays for and is the Vice President of the UA Women’s Club Water Polo Team. She has been a member of the Tsunami swim team since she was nine, and has worked as a swim coach, swim instructor, and lifeguard for the past six seasons. She also participated on Archbishop Mitty’s swim and water polo teams all four years of high school. Allison is very excited for her last season with FPCC and can’t wait to see everyone on deck! Will Sidford, Lead Coach

Hi! My name is Will Sidford. I am going into my Junior Year at San Jose State University. I just graduated West Valley College where I have been on the swim and water polo teams for 2 years. I am very exited to continue working at FPCC and coach the swim team for another year. I can’t wait for an opening season in the new league and send waves into the competition! Go Tsunamis!

 

John Vernooy, Lead Coach

Hi, I’m John I’m a lifeguard and swim coach at forest park, I’ve been swimming here since the dawn of time and also play water polo for club and school. Outside the pool, I love to surf and be outside, and if you like Star Wars there’s a chance we will be best friends. I’m super stoked to be your swim coach this season.

 

Madison Busch, Lead Coach

Hi, my name is Madison Busch! I currently attend Colorado State University. I have swam for the Tsunamis for about 10 years. I am so excited to meet everyone and to watch everyone improve so much over the summer and most importantly I can’t wait to have so much fun this season!

 

Logan Busch, Lead Coach

Hi, my name is Logan Busch. I am a freshman at Montana State University majoring in Fish and Wildlife Management. I graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and was on the Tsunamis for 11 years, and i've been a coach for 2 years. I’m so excited for this season and can’t wait to have lots of fun!

 

Madison Busch, Lead Coach

Hi, my name is Madison Busch! I am currently on the swim and golf team at Lincoln High School. I have swam for the Tsunamis for about 10 years. I am so excited to meet everyone and to watch everyone improve so much over the summer and most importantly I can’t wait to have so much fun this season!

 

 

Marie Ryan, Lead Coach

Marie is excited to be back for another year at FPCC! She’s taught swim lessons for four years and loves to coach all ages, from the new learners to old pros. She spent a good decade (plus some) swimming for the Tsunamis and did four years of swimming and water polo in high school. She just finished her sophmore year at Northeastern University, where she continues to play on the club water polo team. Marie can’t wait to meet everyone for a wonderful season this summer!

 

Katrina Surprenant, Assistant Coach

Hi, I’m Katrina! I am going to be a sophomore at the University of San Diego. I have been on the Tsunami swim team since I was six years old and swam for my high school team for two seasons. This is my third year working as a coach, instructor, and lifeguard. Can’t wait to show the other teams what we’re made of! Go Tsunamis!

 

Gordon Vernooy, Assistant Coach

Hi, I’m Gordon! I’m heading into my senior year at Archbishop Mitty and have been a proud member of the Forest Park swim team for 12 years and counting! I’ve also been playing water polo for 7 years, with 3 years of varsity experience. I’m beyond excited to step into a coaching role this year and help our team grow and compete. Let’s make a splash this season! Go Tsunamis!

 

Adam Lingscheit, Assistant Coach

Hi my name is Adam! I am going into my senior year at Santa Clara High School, and i've been on the swim team for quite a while. I am feeling fin-tastic about returning as a coach and lifeguard this year. I’m not shore about the other teams but I know the Tsunamis will make waves at the Championship meet! Go Tsunamis!

 

Bridget Juul, Assistant Coach

Hi, I’m Bridget! I’ll be a freshman in college at Santa Clara University next fall. I am returning this summer for my fourth year as a lifeguard, third year as a swim instructor, and first year as an assistant swim coach. I’ve been a competitive swimmer for over a decade, and a member of the Tsunami swim team since I was 12 years old. I was a member of the Archbishop Mitty water polo and swim teams for four years. I’m super excited for another amazing season! Go Tsunamis!

 

Nick Sifferman, Assistant Coach

What’s up? My name is Nick Sifferman, and I will be going into my senior year of high school at Archbishop Mitty in the fall. I have been swimming competitively for 14 years, and I’m pumped to be returning as an assistant coach. Forest park is one of the cornerstones of our community, and being able to work here is truly amazing. I’m looking forward to another exciting season and summer at FPCC!! Gooooo Tsunamis!!
