Great news TGL families! Due to circumstances out of our control, we have extended the 4th of July holiday for Lightning families! What does this mean? The Cress Creek Country Club meet scheduled for July 6th has officially been moved to our reserved rain date of July 16th. It is still a HOME meet vs CCCC. Hello TGL families, You just received a few emails from our head coach Jeff Davis and one yesterday from Christine Paik. These emails provide directions for commiting/declining attendance at meets. YOU MUST COMMIT TO MEETS 48 HOURS prior to the meet. My advice is to go in and commit or decline to all the meets for the summer (except Classic/City) right now, beginning with Time Trials this Saturday. Time trials is an opportunity for swimmers to get their baseline time and we reward swimmers 12 and under with time drop bag tags each time...

Hello all, In light of our lovely weather as of late, we thought it would be helpful to publish our TGL inclement weather/pool closure policy. In case of inclement weather, the Tall Grass Lightning Swim Team will conduct practices and meets under the following action steps: TGL will communicate information regarding practice cancellations via email and Facebook ASAP. Rain does not cancel TGL swim team practice. Part or all of practice may be canceled for thunder and/or lightning. Delays will be a minimum of 30 minutes after lightning is detected...

TGL families, We are a month away from the start of the season! With that, we want to remind you to place your order for suits, jammers, and caps--your TGL uniform in the water. We recommend a minimum of one TGL suit per swimmer, and a minimum of 2 caps for each child. You will likely wear the caps for practices and meets, whereas you will most likely have practice suits and save your TGL suit for meets. At last, the SEASON OVERVIEW is here! For many returning families this will be a review but for those who may be new, Tall Grass Lightning (TGL) provides many opportunities to swim and have fun in an eight week season!
