Club Meetings
Board meetings are held monthly for all Board members, Coaches, Parents, and Swimmer. Meeting dates will be posted on the Brookings Swim Club website calendar (Team Unify). At the meeting, each committee and swim coach provide updates. In addition, timely swim club topics are discussed. Parents and swimmers are encouraged to attend.
The annual meeting is held in in the Spring, following the conclusion of SD state short course season. This is a mandatory meeting for at least one parent from each family. During this meeting the Club carries out elections for Board members, presents its annual financial statement, votes on changes in the Bylaws, discusses plans for the upcoming year, etc.
The annual banquet celebrates the efforts and accomplishments of swimmers during the season. Awards are distributed and pictures contributed by member families are shown in a slide show. This usually happens at the end of March or beginning of April in conjunction with the annual meeting.
Become Involved
BSC is 100% family-run. We encourage swim families to be involved with leadership by joining the BSC Board or serving on our BSC committees. Most important, we need families to be trained and volunteer to become a swim official.
