Club Dues

The Brookings swim Club is a year-round club organized and run by parent volunteers.  We raise money through swim meets and other fundraisers to keep our dues as low as possible.  Club dues cover coaching salaries and travel expenses. Dues are set by the Board of Directors and are assessed on an annual basis for the months of September-July.

Swimmers needing financial assistance will be considered for scholarship funds, if available upon submitting necessary paperwork to the Board of Directors.  A scholarship may be requested based on proof that the swimmer qualifies for reduced school lunch, and/or receives Medicaid, or other extenuating circumstances which the requestor must explain in the scholarship application. Once completed and submitted to the BSC Treasurer, the application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting during executive session. Scholarship recipients may receive full or partial payment of the BSC membership fee and home meet fees for the session applied for.

Dues will be collected by ACH withdrawal or credit/debit card on the 1st of each month.   The initial payment will take place at registration in September and then monthly payment starting October 1st and concluding July 1st (no dues in August although any fees incurred from July meets will be billed in August).

Families must enter a checking account or Credit/Debit Card information into Team Unify during registration.

There will be a 4% fee added for credit/debit card transactions.

There will be no additional fees for ACH payments.

There will be a $20 Late Fee for any account not paid in full after the automatic withdrawals occur on the 15th of each month!

Additional fees

$25.00 fee per family will be charged to accounts for swimmers attending any away meet that BSC sends coaching staff. This $25.00 fee will be waived if a member of your family volunteers to officiate (shadowing to be an official will count but no more than 4 sessions, after four sessions of shadowing the expectation is that you will be certified as an official).

Meet Fees

Meet Fees are in addition to the club dues and USA Swim Fees.  There are meet entry fees for each meet your child swims in.  The hosting club sets meet entry fees.  The number of events the swimmer is entered in will determine the fee.  Parents will decide if their child will participate in a meet or not.  The club treasurer will bill families for meet entry fees.  You will be billed for ALL meets that you sign up for.  Swimmers that miss a meet for any reason will still be billed for all meet entry fees.  There are no exceptions of any kind.  BSC has to pay all meet fees up front when sending in meet entries, so you will be billed.

Miscellaneous

USA Swim Fees are in addition to our seasonal club dues, each swimmer must pay this fee which covers national expenses and insurance.  USA Swim fees are paid once during each year.  Every swimmer must pay the USA Swimming fees regardless of meet participation.

Delinquent Payment Policy will be enforced when a family account becomes 30 days past due of the invoice date.  The Family’s swimmer(s) will not be able to swim in the future meets until the outstanding balance is paid in full.  The Board, Coaches, and family will be notified.
