
Youth Swim Lessons
Steel City Aquatics is proud to offer a progressive Youth Swim Lesson program. Our program emphasizes water safety and building swimmer independence. Upon completion of the program, swimmers will have learned important skills and techniques to take them further into our competitve swim team.
Fall 2025: Opens August 1, 2025
Winter 2026: Opens December 1, 2025
Spring 2026: Opens February 1, 2026

Program Information
- Seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring (unless otherwise noted)
- Sessions: 2 per season (unless otherwise noted)
- Fees: $175 per session
- Levels:
- All swimmers learn and progress at different rates
- It is possible that your child will need to repeat the same level before passing into the next level
- Upon completion of the program, swimmers qualify to join the Pre-Team

Classes
- Eight (8) per session
- 30 minute classes
- Important:
- Class dates and times are subject to change based on registration volume, instructor availability, and pool availability.
- In the case of a sudden cancellation, we will notify you via email and communicate an available make-up date.

Participant Requirements
- Must be at least 4 years of age
- Children must be able to use the bathroom facility independently
- Parents/Adults over the age of 18 are not permitted in the bathroom/locker room where other children are present (refer to Safe Sport Policies)
- We strive to create a welcoming space for all participants. This experience contains sensory elements (e.g., loud sounds and group settings) that may be challenging for children with sensory needs.
Waitlist
- Registering for the waitlist does not guarantee your child a spot on the class roster. Class space is limited and based on instructor availability.
- By registering for the waitlsit, you agree for your credit card to be automatically charged once a spot becomes available on the class roster.
- You will be notified by email when your child has been moved from the waitlist to the class roster.
- Once your child is on the roster, the refund policy is in effect (see below).
- Please limit your registration for one waitlist spot.
Refunds and Make-up Classes
- Refunds are not available once your swimmer is on the roster for a class.
- Refunds may be considered for unused lessons with a written medical excuse from a doctor indicating that your child is unable to complete the remaining classes of a session.
- If you miss a class, make-ups are not available; this includes other class times. We have limited space in each class time and are not able to accommodate more than the maximum allowed in each class roster.
