Steel City Aquatics competitive swim team is a USA Swimming team under the LSC, Allegheny Mountain.

We are excited to announce an update to our training group structure that will better reflect age-appropriate development for all of our athletes. These changes are grounded in long-term athlete development principles, and they aim to create an optimal training environment that supports each swimmer’s physical, technical, and emotional growth.

Why the Change?
As swimmers grow, their training needs evolve. Aligning groups by age and stage of development allows us to tailor coaching strategies more effectively. It also promotes team culture, encourages peer bonding, and ensures swimmers are training in an environment that matches their current capabilities and goals.
