The meet was hosted by Canadian Dolphins Swim Club at the Vancouver Aquatic Center, and as usual these were three long days of racing for our gator athletes. Our swimmers had an amazing time in their respective sessions and were ecstatic to be racing swimmers from so many different teams. Over 550 swimmers from BC and other provinces made big splashes at the Saanich Commonwealth Pool. The preliminaries were run on both the West and East side of the pool, and the results from both sides were combined to generate the top 8 or 16 swimmers for the finals. The swim meet was run in a different format than usual, with prelims and finals swam on two of the three days. This marked the start of the season and, for many of our participants, it was their very first swim meet.
