Must complete the first two mandatory clinics:

Safety Marshal 

Introduction to Swimming Officiating (Timer) 

After completing an officiating clinic you may immediately sign up to work as a Timer at a home swim meets.

Shadow Shifts

A shadow shift is your first on-deck experience after completing a clinic for any new officiating role (except Timer or Safety Marshal).

You work alongside an experienced official at a hosted swim meet.

This helps you gain confidence and practical experience in the role before working independently.
