Officiating clinics are a great way to continue your journey, build confidence, and find a role you love on deck! All clinics are free and taught by experienced senior officials.
- Self-Directed E-Modules – Complete these online clinics at your own pace.
- Instructor-Led Clinics – Offered virtually or in person, these interactive sessions provide hands-on learning with experienced officials. While we encourage you to take clinics hosted by our club, you’re welcome to attend sessions offered by any club across Ontario.
Inspector of Turns
If you've taken the Introduction to Officiating Clinic and are looking for the next step, look no further. This clinic will teach you everything you need to know about judging swimmers after the start, the turn, and the finish. This is a great clinic to deepen your understanding of the sport of swimming. It's also the most needed role on deck!

💻 Introduction to Officiating – The first clinic all officials should take. Learn the basics of officiating and how to perform as a timekeeper (most officials' first deck role).
💻 Safety Marshal – Covers warm-up rules and how to ensure safety during warm-ups. This is the second clinic officials should take.
💻 Administrative Desk – Assists the referee and meet manager with on-deck administrative tasks. Take this if you've had some experience on deck as a Timekeeper.
💻 Chief Timekeeper – Supports the start-end of the pool, ensuring accurate timing and timekeeper coordination. Take this if you've had experience as a Timekeeper and an Inspector of Turns.
