Swimsuits

We highly recommend having at least two well-fitting, high-quality swimsuits for both practices and meets. Look for chlorine-resistant options to ensure longer-lasting wear.

Meet Day Attire

Whether competing at home or away, all swimmers are expected to wear their Pickering team gear. Wearing team gear and colors ensures that we look like a united team at meets, representing Pickering with pride.

The club provides:
1 Swim Cap with Pickering Logo
1 Pickering Team Shirt

Swimmers are also expected to have:
Navy swimsuits (not provided by the club)

What type of suit should I buy?

For practices and meets, we recommend:

Boys: Snug-fitting jammers (not surfer-style shorts)

Girls: Full one-piece swimsuits (no two-piece suits)

Modesty suits (full-length, well-fitted) are also fine — black is acceptable if navy isn't available

Fit matters!

  • Too big? It fills with water and slows swimmers down

  • Too small? It’s uncomfortable and restricts movement

  • Check sizing guides when buying online

  • Ask store staff for help if shopping in person

Thinking about a tech suit?

  • These are for swimmers attending higher-level meets

  • Designed to reduce drag and improve performance

  • If wearing a tech suit, swimmers must still wear their Pickering cap and team shirt at meets
