What is a Silver Shark?

The bala shark, also known as the tricolour shark, tricolour sharkminnow, silver shark or shark minnow, is a fish of the family Cyprinidae, and is one of the two species in the genus Balantiocheilos. The species is not a true shark, but is commonly so called because of its torpedo-shaped body and large fins. 

And that is why we are called the Strathmore Silver Sharks Swim Club! We are torpedoes in the water. We may be small, but we are mighty.
