Way to go everyone! There was some great swimming in Sarnia. We ended up with 12 first place finishes, 2 second place finishes and 6 third place finishes. We also swam to 59 best times. Congratulations.
It was nice to be back in Wilmot at the ACES Fall Invitational this past weekend. Coach Deb and Coach Jeff were very pleased with the performances of all the swimmers. We also had new Regional qualifiers, Kate, Sarah, Leia, as well as numerous swimmers re-qualifying. Kendra qualified for Eastern Canadian Championships in the 50 backstroke. Great swimming in Chatham! Congratulations to Diana for qualifying for festivals for the first time, Congratulations to Abigail and Cole for qualifying for Regionals for the first time. WAC had 58 best times along with 45 first place finishes, 29 second place finishes and 21 third places finishes. Great start!
Congratulations to all our competitors at our first competition in Aylmer. We had some first place winners, Savannah and Jackson. We had Charla, Leia and Ariana win some silver, and Tressa with a third place finish. It was great to see some new faces out competing. Coach Deb was thrilled with all of your performances. Way to go!
Kendra had an amazing meet in Montreal at Age Group Nationals. She finaled in 4 out of 6 races, placed 2,3,4,5,9,11, set three new club records in 50 fly and 50 and 100 back, swam best times in 4 out of 6 events, always going faster at night. We are all very proud of her accomplishments.
Our kids had a lot of fun at the outdoor meet in London this past weekend. Swimming outside is a little bit of a challenge, especially in backstroke. WAC still had 63 best times, 2 golds, 3 silvers, and 8 bronze medals. Way to finish off the season!
Kendra participated at Provincials in Brantford and swam 4 out fo 5 best times. Way to go and good luck at Age Group Nationals.
WAC finished 5th out of 25 teams. Alex Banks and Brian Tung are regional champions. 76 best times. Way to go WAC!
13 & Over Regionals: A very impressive finish for the 13 and over swimmers in London. Some standout performances were Fallon’s 100 and 200 fly, Sophia’s 200 back and 400 free, Nick’s 100 breaststroke, Michael’s 200 back, Nathan’s 100 free, and Csengele’s 100 back. Congratulations to our swimmers who made finals: Fallon, Michael, Juliana, Sophia, Alannah. Great job!
With only three swimmers, WAC finished 23rd out of 57 teams. Maia finished 6 in the 50 back and 200 back and 7th in the 100 back and Kelly Marie finished 2nd in the 50 back. Kendra finished 2nd in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free and finished 3rd in the 100 back. She also finished 3rd in the 800 free, while at the same time qualifying for age group nationals! The girls also had fun going to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner on Saturday evening. Great...
